HEAVY AND HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS PRODUCERS

Projects

Glasgow is currently involved in a number of high profile construction projects, most notably Route 309 in southeastern Pennsylvania. This 4-year $88 million highway assignment spans 3.4 miles and is due for completion in 2008.

In 2008, Glasgow was awarded an $8 million project to mill and overlay the Schuylkill Expressway in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, PA. This project involves some 50,000 tons of paving over 13 miles of roadway. To date, Glasgow has exceeded all of the deadlines issued by PENNDOT.

In South Jersey, work was recently completed on Rts. 41 & 42. This $15.5 million NJDOT project involved new ramps and interchange, bridge deck replacement as well as road widening of Rt. 41 and county Rt. 544.

Other current projects include reconstruction of a taxiway at Millville Airport and milling, paving, and bridge deck repair on Routes I-295 and US 30.

From an historical standpoint, the largest and most famous project in Glasgow's 100-year history is the $64 million Route 202 Improvement Project in King of Prussia, PA. Construction, completed in 2002, took 4 years and required more than 100 personnel. Glasgow was also one of four contractors that paved Interstate 476, better known as the Blue Route, which transformed the trip from Interstate 95 to the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Looking to the future, ground-breaking is due to begin on a number of exciting projects, including median barrier replacement on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Berks and Chester Counties. To learn what else we're working on, please visit this site often for updates.
