HEAVY AND HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS PRODUCERS

Projects

Glasgow is currently involved in a number of construction projects, most notably Route 76 in Montgomery County, PA. At our SR 76, RMP project, Glasgow is completing the final punch list items to open Ramp "A" (SR 76 Westbound Off Ramp). We have a milestone completion date of November 10, 2011 to open Ramp A and a final project completion of June 19, 2012. This project is to facilitate traffic volumes on SR 76, Henderson and Gulph Roads. This was the first sequence of three PENNDOT projects to alleviate volumes in this area. This $10,533,902 project is labeled as an Economic Recovery Project by the FHWA.

Many subcontractors, McKinney Drilling, B&K Strongstown, Miller Brothers Electric Company, Green Mountain Land Clearing, Roma Concrete, Midori Professional Services, Ruberton Construction, Zone Striping, URS, Mattiola Concrete Cutting, Protection Services, Rhythm, Transdyn, Transcom, Gilmore Associates, Dinan Surveying, L&R Steel are working to make this a successful endeavor.

In 2011, Glasgow was awarded a PENNDOT concrete maintenance project which includes areas in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. Specifically, our contract is to remove failed full depth concrete and replace with new concrete. In addition, we are completing spall repairs to the surfaces of the finished concrete. Currently, we have two crews working in two different counties placing patches until a November 1 deadline for 2011. We will again start this work on March 15, of 2012 with a completion date of June 1, 2012. However, due to increased quantities, Glasgow may work into late July.

In 2010, Glasgow was awarded and completed a $4 million project to mill and overlay SR 30 bypass in West Whiteland Township, PA.

In 2009, Glasgow completed a high-profile project on Route 309 in Southeastern, PA. This 4 year $88 million project was successfully completed on time.

In South Jersey, work was recently completed on Rts. 41 & 42. This $15.5 million NJDOT project involved new ramps and interchange, bridge deck replacement as well as road widening of Rt. 41 and county Rt. 544.

From an historical standpoint, the largest and most famous project in Glasgow's 100-year history is the $64 million Route 202 Improvement Project in King of Prussia, PA. Construction, completed in 2002, took 4 years and required more than 100 personnel. Glasgow was also one of four contractors that paved Interstate 476, better known as the Blue Route, which transformed the trip from Interstate 95 to the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Looking to the future, ground breaking is due to begin on a number of exciting projects, including PA Turnpike roadway repairs in Montgomery, Chester, Berks and Bucks counties. To learn what else we are working on, please visit this site often for updates.
